BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
My academic degrees are from The University of Kentucky (Doctor of Business Administration; Master of Public Administration) and The University of Maryland (Bachelor of Science Education). I am a member of Beta Gamma Sigma (The Honor Society for AACSB Accredited Business Programs), Kappa Delta Pi (International Honor Society in Education), and Golden Key (International Honour Society). I've been at Eastern Kentucky University since Fall 1989, teaching undergraduate and MBA marketing classes, and international business. I'm told that I was among the first faculty members at EKU to use email for educational lessons. It seems like a million years ago, but it was only Spring 1994 when my students first started doing Web-based class assignments. Of course, in those primitive days we were using Lynx, a text-only browser. How times have changed!

Before coming to EKU, I was the Director of the Graduate Center, College of Business and Economics, University of Kentucky. I am a board member of the Bluegrass Regional Mental Health/Mental Retardation Board. The Bluegrass Board is a private, non-profit organization that provides mental health and mental retardation services in 17 Eastern Kentucky counties and operates Eastern State Hospital. It is the largest non-profit community mental health center in the United States.

EASTERN KENTUCKY UNIVERSITY
EKU is a major comprehensive regional public university with an enrollment of over 16,000 students and a strong commitment to providing high quality teaching and service to students. Eastern is located in Richmond on I-75 in Kentucky's beautiful Bluegrass region. Richmond (population 22,000) offers small-town living yet easy access (twenty-five miles) to the urban conveniences of nearby Lexington (population approaching 300,000).

RESEARCH INTERESTS
My recent published papers are on topics related to the Internet and higher education; business intelligence using project-based learning on the Web; consumer access to community mental health center Web sites; localization vs. globalization on .com Web selling sites in five countries; a team approach to teaching integrated marketing communication; a comparison of shopping behaviors including Web alternatives; ethics content on corporate World Wide Web sites; WWW consumer navigation systems; and innovative teaching methods in marketing. My current research continues in these areas. For more detailed information, please see my Curriculum Vitae. Visit the Houghton-Mifflin Co. site for information on my textbook, Internet Marketing: Foundations and Applications.

ODDS & ENDS
In my "spare time" I enjoy opera, classical music (particularly, WEKU FM), reading (mostly in marketing and business), gardening, Net surfing, and knitting/crocheting.
