Presentation Tips

  • DO NOT TALK DURING ANOTHER TEAM'S PRESENTATION! This is rude and unprofessional. If it occurs, the individuals involved will be asked to leave the class.
  • Do NOT wear baseball or other caps!
  • Keep hands out of pockets.
  • Look at the audience, particularly your client. Make eye contact.
  • Do not rock on your feet.
  • Do not read PP slides word-for-word.
  • Avoid "um", "uh," and other distracting verbal mannerisms.
  • Come prepared! Don't stumble around, fishing for words.
  • Everyone on the team must speak.
  • Practice!!!!
  • Introduce the team and members.
  • State the purpose of your presentation.
  • Explain your choices for the Web marketing site.
  • Stay within time limits.
  • Dress professionally.
  • Use a minimal amount of text on PP slides.
  • Avoid distracting animation.
  • Use graphs, tables, bullet lists where appropriate.
  • FOLLOW DIRECTIONS!

Written Web Marketing Plan

  • Follow directions!!!!! Read instructions carefully.
  • Provide sufficient detail.
  • Avoid unintelligible phrases.
  • Check and correct spelling, grammar BEFORE you submit the final plan.
  • Read the plan before your submit it and edit, edit, edit.
  • Maintain focus - it's your client!
  • Don't wait until the last minute -- it will show and it will cost you!
  • Redo your CI assignments and include corrected copy as an appendix in the plan.
  • Submit written plan in an appropriate spiral binder or 3-ring binder.
  • Type headings on tabs.
  • Professionalism includes how the plan looks.
