Introduction to Integrated Marketing Communication (Web IMC)
COURSE
EVALUATION AND GRADE DISTRIBUTION
COM/MKT/TEC
309 is taught in three separate, but integrated modules. Grades from the
three modules will be averaged and the course instructors will jointly
determine an overall course final letter grade. Because of the applied
nature of the course, evaluations will focus on the successful completion
of projects in each module. ALL projects
must be completed in order for the student to receive a passing grade
in this class. This includes presentation of the student's Marketing Web
Site to the class! Assignments
in any module turned in late will receive a 50% reduction in points!
The
MKT and COM Modules are each 30% of the course grade; the TEC Module is
40% of the course grade. Mid-term evaluations will be determined by work
completed up to that point in the semester.
Marketing
Module (I): 30% of the semester grade
05 points possible for the Client Approval Form (MKT Asg 1)
95 points possible for the Competitive Intelligence (MKT Asg 2)
100 points possible in MKT total
Communication
Design Module (III): 30% of the semester grade
10 points possible for the Design Contribution (COM Asg 1)
90 points possible for the Design Blueprint for the Marketing Web Site
and presentation (COM Asg 2)
100 points possible in COM total
Technology
Module (II): 40% of the semester grade
18 points possible for the Personal Homepage (TEC Asg 1)
115 points possible for the Marketing Web Site and presentation (TEC Asg
2)

To
calculate the semester average: (MKT grade + COM grade + TEC grade)/333
= Semester average
The
semester average is reported as a letter grade determined by the scale:
A = 90 to 100%; B = 80 to 89%; C = 70 to
79%; D = 60 to 69%; F = <59%
ALL
projects must be completed in order for the student to receive a passing
grade in this class. This includes presentation of the student's Marketing
Web Site in class!
