| Steve Brown is Professor of Management
at Eastern Kentucky University. He received his BS in Food Science
from the University of Illinois, his MS in Management from Southern
Illinois University, and PhD in Management from the University
of Georgia. He is an Academic member of the Goldratt Institute
and a former Research Fellow for the Council of State Governments.
Professor Brown has served on the Editorial Boards of The
Journal of Small Business Strategy (of which he was a co-founder),
The Journal of Business and Entrepreneurship, and The
Journal of International Case Studies. He has published widely
in the areas of management and entrepreneurship. He has held
regional and national offices in the Small Business Institute
Directors Association and in local American Production and Inventory
Control Institute Society. He has served as a Small Business
Institute Director and Small Business Director at universities
in Kentucky and Tennessee where he was a consultant to hundreds
of businesses. In addition, he started and managed two businesses
of his own and was formerly a plant quality control manager for
Stokely-Van Camp and applications engineer for FMC Corp. He has
been recognized on several occasions for his work with small
businesses and received an international research award for his
work on production scheduling. |
